Here are the eight lessons in an NRA Shotgun Instructor Training class:
- VI. Introduction to "NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course Outline and Lesson Plans"
- VII. Teaching "Shotgun Lesson I: Shotgun Knowledge and Safe Handling"
- VIII. Teaching "Shotgun Lesson II: Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Shotgun Shooting"
- IX. Basic Shotgun Shooting Instructional Method
- X. Teaching "Shotgun Lesson III: Firing the First Shots"
- XI. Teaching "Shotgun Lesson IV: Shotgun Shooting Skills Practical Exercise"
- XII. Evaluating and Improving Performance of Beginning Shotgun Shooters
- XIII. Teaching "Shotgun Lesson V: Shotgun Sports and Activities"
You will need to bring a shotgun, at least 2 boxes of shells, hearing protection and eye protection. The price doesn't include BIT.
Certifications are issued by the NRA Training Dept. There are certification and processing fees that are paid directly to NRA. The fees are $30 if you are an NRA member. The fees are $50 if you are not a NRA member. That is for a 2 year certification. This price doesn't include BIT.
Please remember NRA Instructor courses are performance based courses. Students must possess the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for this level of training. You do not pay and automatically pass instructor training. You pass to have the opportunity to pass.
