NRA Personal Protection in the Home

This class is the NRA Personal Protection in the Home class. This class is 8-9 hours long. This is a great class to begin to understand about using cover and concealment. This is a great class for license to carry holders. This class consists of about 5 hours of classroom time and 3 hours of range time. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self- defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection in the Home Handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure, course completion certificate, etc. Things to bring with you - eye protection, ear protection, comfortable shoes, semi-auto pistol or a revolver (must be at least a 9mm), two or three magazines for your semi-auto or speed loaders for your revolver, comfortable clothing, knee-pads(optional), holster(optional).
