$16 This class is the Texas Parks and Wildlife Hunter Education class. This class is approximately 5 hours long. This class is required for you to hunt in the state of Texas if you are born after September 1, 1971. If you are under 9 years of age, then you must be accompanied by someone 17 years of age or older, who has a Texas hunting license, who has passed hunters education or was born before September 2, 1971, and you must be within normal voice control. If you are age 9-16, then you must successfully complete hunter education or be accompanied (see requirements above). If you are 17 years of age or older, you must complete hunter education.
